About us

Daniel
I am Daniel Pakulla, and I moved from Germany to Finland in 1997. I love cooking and have worked in restaurants for nearly three decades.

Daniel's Grillbar
My business has become familiar to many through my grill truck, which offers German-style delicacies. I have been running a summer restaurant at the Lappajärvi Golf Club since 2022.

Two Restaurants, Same Passion
Exciting changes are ahead! Starting in spring 2025, I will have two restaurants in Lappajärvi. Our new location will open at Hotel Kivitippu, while our existing restaurant at Lappajärvi Golf Club will continue under the name Daniel’s Bistro. The new restaurant at Hotel Kivitippu will be called Daniel’s Grillbar.

Restaurant Services
Dine by the shores of Europe’s largest crater lake, enjoying beautiful views and delicious food. Our à la carte menu features both Finnish and German classic dishes. In addition to the à la carte, we also offer breakfast daily. You can also order catering services for various events and celebrations.
Book Your Sauna
You can also book our private sauna. The sauna area features two separate saunas and changing rooms, as well as a shared lounge where you can relax.
In the lounge, you can order pre-arranged snacks and drinks from us.
Meeting Services
We offer meeting rooms to suit your needs, with spaces available for up to 80 people. Need catering as well? We can provide that!
Our venues are also perfect for hosting other events and celebrations.
